In the previous session (part 11), we came to the knowledge that mystery in the New Testament has to do with sublime revelation of the Gospel, Incarnation and the life of the Saviour and His manifestation by the preaching of the Apostles. Ref Matthew 13:1, I Cor 15:51, Romans 16: 25, Colossians 1:26
God transcend all creatures. By natural reason man can know God with certainty, on the basis of his works. However, with our human power, we can't arrive at Divine Revelation.
The Glorious Mysteries teach us that “six feet is never at last”. There is more to be done. Christ is God as well as human, he was able to come back from the other side of death as he promised. He allowed himself to be seen , heard and touched by his followers. He is gloried, taking on the qualities of a spiritual body and was reunited to the person of Christ.
Christ’s Resurrection, Ascension etc are mysterious but real. We may find it hard to understand the Resurrection and the other Glorious Mysteries. What we meditated on surpasses our human limitations.
The Glorious Mysteries honor Mary as someone intimately connected with the miracle of Christ’s Resurrection and with Christ’s promise of eternal life for us.
